The rivaling duo

Sun_moonIt's no news that United Arab Emirates and Qatar are competing head-to-head for the throne of the Arab world's economic center. More so is their race on eracting high-rise buildings in their oasis cities.

Earlier this month, both countries announced a new high-rise project for their capital citiy, and I found the two projects contrast each other in a funny way.....

Go! Carts!

Cart_2I'm sure you know Iditarod, the great dog-sled race in Alaska, but have you heard of Idiotarod (pronounced as idiot-arod)? If you haven't, you are lame.

Today I went to cheer for the 2nd Annual Seattle Idiotarod in Georgetown. As the name suggests, this new sport is inpired by Iditarod, only with a little idiotic twist.....

Stand-up Economist

MicI went to the opening night of an environmental film festival for some good laugh.

Good laugh in a freaking environmental event? You ask.

Pretty much everything environmental is full of boring, scarry crap, I know. But my friend told me I have to check this one out because.....

How do you know...

Cherry ....that spring has come to Seattle?

Not because of cherry blossom at the corner, nor runners/cyclists passing you on the sidewalk, but people starting doing this.....

Big shock

RiceFollowing a friend's advice, I decided to make myself some rice congee today after having a bad diarrhea. So I pluged in my rice cooker (which I haven't done for ages!) and was preparing to rinse some rice.

To rinse rice, I need-- yes, r i c e. So I opened the overhead cabinet where I stored raw rice.....

Mardi Gras

1976Today is Mardi Gras.

Being a non-christian, I didn't do anything special on this day, and being a male, I didn't even get to put on colorful beads around my neck, and I hardly ate anything on this Fat Tuesday.....Ok that's enough for pointless murmuring.

I came across this amazing video, although its not about Mardi Gras or Carnival, the colorful Cuban images and festive sounds remind me of Marti Gras. An eye candy for your enjoyment...

Reduce. Reduce. Reveal.

2342wAbundance is evil, it covers bad things up.

A few weeks ago I noticed that I never drink up my 20-Oz. morning coffee at the end of the day. Usually when I am ready to get off work, I still have a few sips’ worth of coffee left in the cup......
